The text below is copied directly from the back cover of the book and cassette/record version of the GoBots pilot miniseres. What's strange is how off some of the characterizations are, especially on account of their location on the back of a printed edition of the pilot miniseries.

CY-KILL (Enemy Robot Leader)
Notorious Cy-Kill, the evil GoBot mastermind who turns into a menacing motorcycle, is the leader of the Enemy GoBots. He will stop at nothing to rule the Earth, in fact he would rather destroy the Earth completely than be taken back to GoBotron as a prisoner.

LEADER-1 (Friendly Robot Leader)
All Friendly GoBots hail the fearless Leader-1. The leader of the Friendly GoBots, Leader-1 is as brave and intelligent as they come. He is the only GoBot capable of foiling Cy-Kill's plans to rule the Earth.

COP-TUR (Enemy Robot Helicopter)
Cold-hearted Cop-Tur has a sharp mind and an even sharper rotating propeller arm. He secretly plans to send Cy-Kill into a tailspin and take over the Enemy GoBots.

TURBO (Friendly Robot Racer)
Leader-1's right-hand GoBot, Turbo loves life in the fast lane and enters himself into sports car races as a red-hot racer. He never fails to chase down Enemy GoBots in the name of truth and justice.

CRASHER (Enemy Robot Race Car)
Feline-sleek Crasher is the wicked witch of the Enemy GoBots. In the war between good and evil, it's a race to the finish and the aggressively reckless Crasher will stop at nothing to win. When she races against good guy Turbo, it's a grudge match. Crasher breaks all the rules and the race becomes a demolition derby.

SCOOTER (Friendly Robot Scooter)
The youngest and smallest of the Friendly GoBots, Scooter is a wise-cracking computer whiz. He's happiest scooting out of the action, and loves staying behind to spin his wheels and man the Command Center. Nevertheless, Scooter becomes the reluctant hero because when he turns into a red motorscooter, he is the least conspicuous of the good guys and is often sent on undercover missions.

FITOR (Enemy Robot Jet)
Fitor is a dirty trick artist. He uses the airways to terrorize humans and to destroy everything in sight. His hit and run attack policy has endeared him to Cy-Kill.
